Here are some questions to ask yourself when searching for an employee volunteer opportunity:

What social issues do your employees see as important?
How do your employees currently volunteer on their own?
What causes best match the business that your company is in?
What business goals should your employee volunteering support?
What other goals do your have for your employee volunteer program?
What kind of time commitment can your employees make?
Do they wish to involve their families in the volunteer project?
Are there age, health or skill requirements for the volunteer project?
What special skills do your employees bring to the volunteer project?
