Blue Water Workshops
"Blue Water" is a metaphor for thinking, caring, and understanding deeply. This workshop series offers opportunities for discovery and learning for alumni and people who are exploring the program.
Feb 19: What is the Human Venture & Why Does It Matter? $30
Overview of the origins, development and current state of the human venture framework, and its relevance to the individual and collective challenges of the 21st century.
March 11: The Next Generations $30
The human venture is a trans-generational journey. Each generation has a responsibility to orient and equip the next generation to continue and extend the journey. Parents and educators have a critical role to play, but so does everyone who cares about the future. This session will explore principles, resources and methods for nurturing human venture path finding in youth.
April 15: What is Leadership Calgary? Free Session
What does it take to support and create wise community leadership? Would you like to be part of a cross-sector network of community leaders? We will share insights about the program, and speak in detail about what we are trying to do, why it is significant, why it is challenging, and the level of engagement required.
May 6: Staying Awake & Continuing the Journey $30
Waking up to the human venture is one thing, staying awake without getting lost is another. This session will explore some of the basics of human venture path finding, existential stamina & adaptive persistence, learning from life & other sources of information, and mutual learning and support opportunities through Leadership Calgary and other human venture path initiatives.
$75 for Feb, March and May workshops (if purchased together).
