Speakers Bureau

The Volunteer Calgary Speakers Bureau was developed in response to the community's growing need to learn more about volunteering.

Speaker presentations aim to introduce people to volunteering and its many benefits, educate them on how to volunteer and inspire them to volunteer in the community.

Our Speakers

The Speakers Bureau is comprised of dedicated volunteers with a passion and talent for public speaking. The volunteer speakers represent Volunteer Calgary in the community and are responsible for getting key messages across to various audiences in a positive and professional manner.

The Speakers Bureau engages volunteers in Volunteer Calgary's mission to promote volunteerism throughout the community. It provides volunteers a venue to hone their speaking skills while making a positive impact on the community.

Presentations

A typical presentation includes the following key points:

  • Introduction to Volunteer Calgary
  • Volunteering and its benefits
  • How to find volunteer opportunities

Length and format of presentations may be tailored depending on the event.

Book a speaker

If your group is interested to learn about volunteering, you may submit a request for a member of the Speakers Bureau to come out and talk to your group.

The Speakers Bureau can deliver presentations to schools, corporate groups, community groups, special interest groups, etc. upon request.

  • Speaker requests must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
  • A minimum of 10 individuals must be in the group for most efficient use of speaker's time. Remember: all our speakers are volunteers!

Speaker requests are free-of-charge, compliments of our talented pool of volunteers.
