About Us
Volunteer Calgary is a member-based, non-profit management centre working to strengthen organizations in the community. Our services, comprised of training, consulting and project management, are aimed toward increasing the capacity of over 450 non-profit member organizations engaged in building community.
Established in 1955, Volunteer Calgary has a long history of helping organizations enhance volunteer engagement and promoting volunteerism in the community. We continue to strengthen organizations in Calgary, while evolving from being a volunteer centre to a full-fledged non-profit management centre in response to the changing needs of the sector and the community.
In 2011, we broadened the scope of our work to support other areas of non-profit management, including Human Resources, Governance, Leadership, and Resource Development, in addition to Volunteer Management.
Volunteer Calgary continues to provide leadership in the non-profit sector by identifying needs, recognizing trends and working in partnership and collaboration with the government, corporate sector, community partners and other community leaders.
Volunteer Calgary's core values - Courage, Exploration, Adaptability, Resilience and Empowerment - shape our culture and guide how we make decisions as an organization.
