From promoting volunteerism to leading the evolution in a continuum of engagement, Volunteer Calgary now supports a full spectrum of capacity building in the non-profit sector with over 450 non-profit members. Strong partnerships with government, education, the corporate sector and other community leaders have results in a vital organization fueling the community through effective programming, learning and development, member services and research.
The VC team of 18 staff, our Board and numerous consultants is currently working on the transformation of a volunteer centre and a centre for non-profit management into a new hybrid organization uniquely positioned to build effectiveness of non-profit organizations to deliver service to the community. We serve Calgary through our mission: Leading, promoting, connecting and strengthening volunteerism. We engage and facilitate hundreds of volunteers through our programs and services.
Introduction:

Position Description:
Volunteer Calgary is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, people-focused customer service professional. The Member Relations Coordinator is one of two roles responsible for supporting Volunteer Calgary's non-profit members with a high level of customer service. The successful candidate will be passionate about serving the non-profit sector who is motivated to learn trends and influences on the non-profit sector in Calgary. The role will involve relationship building, intake and administration of membership and matching member needs with programs and services of Volunteer Calgary.
Primary Relationships:

- Volunteer Calgary staff for membership, event planning, communication and financials
- Volunteer Calgary member organizations
- Volunteers
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Intake and processing of new and renewing member organizations;
- Ongoing relationship development through phone, in-person coaching, email;
- Volunteer management;
- Program administration, promotion, evaluation and reporting;
- Departmental and community involvement.

Salary starting at $40,000 - $45,000 based on experience plus benefits, RRSP contributions, a strong vacation package and employer supported volunteering.
