Those who work in the IT world know that it can be quite challenging and sometimes very stressful. In the non-profit sector where tight budgets and a lack of resources are often the norm it can be even harder to maneuver your way through the IT world of IE8, SSL-VPN, CRM and VoIP.
Well, you are not alone. The IT staff from Volunteer Calgary, IT Focus Solution, and CentrePoint are putting together an informal network of local non-profit employees, volunteers and other individuals who are directly or indirectly responsible for supporting and developing the IT departments within their organizations.
If you are eager to learn and share knowledge with other IT colleagues, we want to hear from you. This network will be involved in regular meetings and online discussion around some of the leading edge technologies that are shaping the non-profit sector right here in Calgary.
This is your chance to learn more about the technology that is out there and share some of the simple, and not so simple, ideas and techniques that others have used to improve the IT in their organizations.
Interested technology managers, accidental techies, CIO’s and anyone else whose job maybe closely related to IT are invited to contact Aden Hirtle at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 403-231-1432 for more information. Our first meeting is on Sept. 11 at 8:30 am - 9:30 am at the Kahanoff Centre, 2nd Floor-1202 Centre St S.
