Calgary to host one of only four screenings of film outside US
Calgary, AB – On January 12, 2011, Leadership Calgary will proudly present“Race to Nowhere – The Dark Side of America’s Achievement Culture”, a film by Vicki Abeles. This special screening will take place at the Calgary Public Library, which is one of only 4 venues outside the United States to be screening the film on important issues surrounding youth and education today.
“As a community leadership program, Leadership Calgary aims to engage Calgarians in these types of dialogue, which creates the opportunity to discuss ways in which we can prepare our youth to strive towards a better future,” says Buffy St-Amand, Community Development Manager at Volunteer Calgary.
